Terms of Service
Last updated: [FILL IN BEFORE PUBLISHING]
These terms cover your use of the Inkbase app and this website. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. Who can use Inkbase
You must be at least 13 to hold an account. You must be at least 18 to offer tattooing through Inkbase. Some artists set a higher minimum age for their own clients, and we enforce whichever limit is stricter.
You agree that the date of birth you give is truthful. It cannot be changed once set — contact support if you entered it incorrectly.
2. Your account
Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
3. Inkbase is an introduction, not a party to your tattoo
This is the most important thing here. Inkbase helps people find each other. Any tattoo, consultation, deposit or payment is an agreement between you and the artist, not with us.
We do not employ artists, supervise their work, verify their licensing or insurance unless explicitly stated, guarantee availability or pricing, or take responsibility for the outcome, safety or aftercare of any tattoo. Choosing an artist is your decision. Check their licensing and studio yourself.
4. What you post
You keep ownership of everything you upload. By posting, you give us permission to host, display and distribute it within Inkbase so the app can work. You can delete your content at any time.
You confirm you have the right to post what you upload, and you agree not to post:
- Work that isn't yours, presented as yours.
- Anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, or threatening.
- Sexual content involving minors, or any sexual content involving a person who has not consented to it being posted.
- Other people's personal information.
- Spam, scams, or misleading claims about qualifications or licensing.
5. Behaviour
Talk to people the way you'd want to be talked to. Don't harass, impersonate, or use Inkbase to arrange anything illegal. Don't scrape the service, attack it, or try to get at data that isn't yours.
6. Bookings, deposits and payments
Prices, deposits and cancellation policies are set by each artist and shown on their profile. Where payments run through Inkbase they are processed by our payments provider, and their terms apply to the transaction. Refunds and cancellations are governed by the artist's stated policy. Disputes about money or the work itself are between you and the artist; we may help with information but we are not the arbiter.
7. Reviews
Reviews should describe your genuine experience. Don't post reviews for work that didn't happen, reviews traded for payment, or reviews aimed at a competitor. We may remove reviews that break these rules.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time — see Support. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, or where we're required to. If the reason is fixable we'll normally say so first.
9. The service as it is
Inkbase is provided as-is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, or that everything on it is correct — profiles and pricing are written by their owners, not by us.
10. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Inkbase is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts of artists, clients or other users — including the results of any tattoo arranged through the service.
[Review needed: this section, the governing law below, and any consumer rights that cannot be limited where you operate.]
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Inkbase after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION].
